Just add some flake food directly to the water coming out of the filter - it makes a 'flake storm' - then while the 'little angels' are busy chasing the flakes drop in the wafers. Works for me.

I run several AC filters and I have two that have this problem. It happens whether they are clean or dirty. I have a nice heavy rock sitting on top of them - could not find any other way to keep the basket from inching up over time.

Something is very wrong - that is definately not normal behavior. What size tank - what tank mates - water parms - and what do you feed him and how often. BGK are very sensitive to meds... be very careful.
